![]() The Navigator is also responsible for the development and maintenance of a student-positive culture while adhering to departmental requirements. The Navigator tracks compliance with preregistration, registration, and post-registration targets. The Navigator ensures all grant required participant activities are met, tracks budget expenditures and collects data for grant tracking audits. This position is maintaining records and grant compliance. The Navigator also facilitates presentations for workforce and community partners. This includes assisting potential students with guidance to SOAR (Online Onboarding) and assisting potential students with completion of placement needs, FAFSA and CCD scholarship application. The Navigator assists with the recruit efforts and the pre-onboarding checklists and resources to help students with the navigation of the Steps to Enrollment. In addition to on-boarding and advising, the Navigator partners with Recruitment to develop effective recruiting and hand off timelines for incoming students. When potential barriers to success are noted, the Navigator facilitates access to on and off campus resources. This position coordinates one-on-one meetings with students works with students to develop timelines for completion of goals and develops effective, customized communication plans for each student/category of students to ensure touch points continue to be timely throughout the students' on-boarding process. The Onboarding Navigator is primarily responsible for student onboarding, through completion. The Navigator will be ready to share the array of programming that CCD offers for their students who are on-boarding to the college. The Navigator will work on identifying and anticipating student barriers and having prescribed interventions and programing to help the student overcome or avoid being derailed from their college/educational/career path goals. This position will work closely with CCD staff and faculty in various departments offices related to recruitment, admissions, advising, career, completion, and transfer. The case management work of the Navigator is highly individualized and will provide one to one support with the students. The Onboarding Navigator will support students specifically served under the criteria outlined on the Sturm Family Foundation grant by providing high impact, wrap around recruitment, on-boarding, academic advising, financial aid assistance, and career exploration processes customized for each student assigned to the Navigator using intrusive, intensive, strategic support and guidance for academic success and completion. This position is grant funded, and contingent upon continued funding.
